I've been using LG Dare for about three weeks without the screen protector. To be honest, I think all touch screen phones need to have a screen protector on them. I started having too many fingerprints and steins. In addtion, LG Dare's too shiny and very reflective in the sun. Although this protector won't give you a signicant improvment on its glare, the anti-glare feature somewhat tones down the overall reflection, which you can easily tell right after you apply it.

Applying the protector was fairly easy. You might get a little bubbles on your first tries, but if you follow the instructions, you can almost get it perfect. It's impossible to get it perfect with almost all screen protectors anyways.

In addition to all those benefits, look at the price. I had to give it a 5 star.

had my dare for a couple weeks, and i kept the original covering it came with on it. that started coming off real quick. looked at other screen protectors. this is a great product. it cuts down on SOME glare, but the problem still exists (IE, still difficult to see screen in direct sun, but it does help some). cut and ready to apply to the screen, easy to put on (and re-apply, if you do mess up). changes the feel a little of the screen, but its fine. worth it. buy one.

Bought the screen protector because of the reviews and I am very happy with the product. While doing research for this product I found a neat trick to apply the film without any dust being trapped, run a hot shower in your bathroom with the door closed. The steam from the shower will get rid of any dust floating around. I lined up the film on the first try with no dust what so ever. Good luck.

This screen protector is a lot better quality than I expected it to be! It is sort of thick, not flimsy at all, and fits the screen perfectly. It does feel a little different than the naked screen or even the plastic that came with the phone, but I think it will be easy to get used to. Definitely a great buy.

I have had my Dare for about a year... I have now learned that I spent too much money on the screen covers sold at the Verizon store. You must have a screen cover for the Dare, even the slightest touch can create a scratch. I was constantly changing my covers because the cover would scratch or lift up around the edges after a few weeks (I use my phone constantly!) I always had to wipe my phone off after each use because of the fingerprints or cheek prints on the screen. Which again created more scratches on the cover. Go figure I am spending money to keep my screen from getting scratched and I am still looking through scratches!!

This cover is amazing! It is very easy to apply. It is just as advertised...It doesn't smudge!! It has a light hue to it like a computer screen so there is no glare when out in the sun. It makes everything sharp and crisp. Everyone with a Dare should get one. You are getting your money's worth plus with this!!!!!

I got this screen protector for my LG Dare. After I cleaned the screen thoroughly, I applied the film. It had a few bubbles that were in the middle of the screen that no credit card or flat surface would force to the side and out of view. I then realized that they were specs of dust under the film. I took the film off, cleaned the screen again and reapplied the film. Now there were twice as many bubbles and although were barely visible when the back light was on, it was extremely annoying. Anyway, what I decided was to pour about an ounce or 2 of rubbing alcohol into a flat saucer. I then placed the film into the alcohol and "splashed it around a bit to get the dust off. Then I placed the "wet" film onto the screen and lightly rubbed out the alcohol to the sides, while holding the microfiber close to the sides to catch any alcohol drops. Then I let it dry over night with out dialing or fooling around with the phone. This worked perfectly! The film has a great anti-glare finish to it that does its job as well as gives a better feel when sliding your finger across the screen than normal. I don't know why these devices don't come with these from the factory. Great product, just don't have a fan or heater nearby when applying. If you do get bubbles, try the alcohol trick.

The screen itself protects very well, you will not see any smudges and it protects against scratches. The screen will stick without moving and will not leave any residue if you decide to remove.

Unfortunately, the cons are more than the pros. Firstly, the screen causes a slight blur against any white background on the phone. It's not as noticeable against darker colors but sooner or later you will probably be a little irked when you see the blurry screen.

Secondly, although this is not the manufacturers fault,
I had to order 2 because my first attempt to place the screen failed. There was just a small bubble at the end of my placement and I tried to lift it up to redo it. Unlike what most comments say, redoing a screen is extremely risky because the moment you lift the screen, dust particles can easily land on the phone or stick to the adhesive side of the screen which causes permanent bubbles on your screen after you lay it back down. So be extremely careful and try to hit it your first try.

Third, on both of my attempts, I was still left with air bubbles located at one of the corner of my phones. I tried my best to get rid of it but it's still there even till this day.

Finally, the biggest drawback which I am surprised that nobody has complained about is the loss of accuracy you have after placing the screen. The screen protector itself is thick and sturdy like others have mentioned, but think about it, after placing a thick screen protector on your touch phone, the point that you try to press (say the #5) will push a larger portion of the screen down making it so that the protective screen presses down on other #s around the #5.
The best analogy I can come up with is if you had a drop of water on a table and you touched it with the tip of your finger, the water droplet will be pinpointed and stick to your finger. Now if you placed a screen over it, the water droplet would spread losing your pinpoint accuracy (which we all know is important for a touch screen)
Normally, this won't effect much of the phones touch features, but for heavy texters, this can be a nightmare. I text at a reasonable fast and comfortable pace on the Dare with few mistakes, but after applying the screen, I found myself losing the joy of texting. I constantly have to Clear and re-enter the same letter about 3 times before I get what i want. It has gotten to the point where I am actually ready to peel of the protector itself.

Because of this Major drawback, I only give it a 2/5: Protects well, but loss of accuracy

This screen protector is the best. My father and boyfriend both tried a different brands and they both sucked, didn't lay flat with tons of bubbles and prevented touchscreen from working right. This one does not. It is easy to install, fit the phone exactly and even came with a bubble remover. It allows for easy use of touch screen. Makeup and skin oils still collect on it but easy to remove and it's better then on the screen. Have not noticed any fingerprints. Highly recommend this item. Works so good I'm ordering one for my boyfriend so he can get rid of the bad one.

So I haven't tried other screen protectors for this phone, but I have dealt with a few in the past for other devices and this one is just better. Maybe, like me, you're asking yourself, "How can one piece of clear, sticky plastic be better than another piece of clear, sticky plastic?". Well, this piece of clear sticky plastic feels to be a little thicker and more durable than others, though that doesn't interfere with the sensitivity of the touch screen and the glare reduction this protector offers makes looking at the screen a lot easier in some environments. I love the fact that, like the description says, this protector leaves the display (virtually) "smudge free". It is also a great fit on the phone with a cut-out for the speaker. Be sure to follow the directions for applying the protector and use the included microfiber clothe to clean the screen. Make sure there are NO specs of dust or dirt at all before applying the cover, or you will get air bubbles that will be extremely hard to get out.

A screen protector for any touch screen device is a must, and this one is great for the Dare. I would definitely recommend it.

We all know that touch-screen phones are prone to smudges, scuffs and scratches. After getting my Dare, I didn't want to risk damaging it, so I quickly ordered this product. After about 4 tries, I was able to successfully apply it to the Dare's screen. Only one bubble showed up, but after a week it was gone and the film had adhered perfectly.

The main improvement that this product has made to the Dare is its texture. Because the screen is no longer glass-slick, I'm able to run my fingers across it much more easily and smoothly. For example, run a finger across the surface of clean glass, and you'll notice that not only do smudges appear, but the skin of your finger and the too-smooth texture of the glass work together to create friction. In other words, the glass is so smooth it actually grips your finger. With this product, though, the Dare's screen is now easier to use AND much more protected. Pair it with a protective case and your Dare is sure to stay as sexy as it was when you first brought it home from the Verizon store!
