The product is great. The case is slim fitting, covers corners nicely, has just a touch of that rubberized grip feel, and is much better quality than some of the stuff that gets sent from China.

A note about the "smudge free film" as I wasn't sure what to expect. The film is actually a somewhat thick (at least in comparison to normal screen protectors) piece of plastic. It feels substantial enough to protect against a nick in the screen if that ever happens. Here is what is not mentioned - it creates a MATTE finish to the screen - so the screen is no longer super glossy. I prefer this actually, so was not disappointed. But if you are looking to keep your screen super glossy, you will not want this smudge free film. Just order the Elago case without the screen protector.

I've looked at many iPhone cases, and this one has to be one of the best looking cases. It fits very well and complements the phone nicely. I get lots of compliments as well. Like the other reviews stated, it won't save your phone from falls, but just be careful :P. What's the point of completely covering up a great looking phone with the big rubber cases. Thats like buying a Ferrari and covering in bubble wrap! This case is like a new set of HRE wheels for the Ferrari. :)

Case Pros:
- The back of the case has a hard but has soft microfiber feel.
- It doesn't seem to change temperature to much with the weather.
- The fact that the cover sits on the back of the phone gives it protection without adding size.

Case Con:
- The hole in the back of the phone is meant to display the apple emblem. This is not aesthetically pleasing.

Screen Protector Pro:
- The protector shield keeps the metal from touching your ear and makes the iPhone more comfortable to talk-on as a handset.

Screen Protector Con:
- The protector film did not sit properly on the phone and lifts on one side.

I just got my iPhone, so this is the first screen protector and case I've been familiar with.

I didn't find a lot of good online info when I wanted to purchase a screen protector and case, so buying this was kind of a shot in the dark. Now, I'm very glad I went with this one. Hopefully this review will help people who are hunting around like I was.

That said, I'm really enjoying this one, and it feels great. As for the screen protector, I prefer this protector's matte finish, because it reduces glare, smudges, fingerprints, etc. Matte finish also makes finger-sliding a little easier. (If you want the glassy look, get a "crystal" screen protector.) I didn't know exactly how to apply the protector, but it went okay and the "bubbles" left from sticking the protector on smoothed out with some fingernail-effort.

The case itself is GREAT. I really like that it's so slim and just covers the very edge - right past where the chrome meets the plastic, and no further. I like the look, but it also "feels" right. As a bonus, the case edge in the corner actually seems to protect the volume Mute switch - so it's now less likely that I'll accidentally turn Mute off at a bad moment. That's a HUGE help, because I had been worried about that.

I dropped the phone for the first time the other day, and though the case popped off when it hit the ground, it appeared to do its job WELL. (The fact that the case is a little springy encourages me, too.) The case fits snugly (though I've only had it a week or two), so it seems like it's on to stay (but can be removed easily when I need it to be - I might buy another color sometime so I can switch it out).

Design-wise, I like the "hole" leaving the Apple emblem visible on the back. I'm not an Apple guy - this is my first Apple product ever - but it's still cool.

This probably applies to all cases, but because of the holes in the design (to leave access to the ports and switches), color of your phone will show through. So the best color choice for the case may be the same color of your phone - or you can go for the multi-color look. Just keep that in mind. Finally, the "elago" brand emblem on the back isn't big and annoying like on some cases - it's right at the bottom of the back, where "iPhone" is on the actual phone. Nice.

The only big problem, to me, is that the product came with absolutely no instructions I could find. While it's easy enough to figure out, I would have appreciated tips on applying the screen protector (centering it, and getting rid of the bubbles) - and any other tips for improving the safety and look of my phone. I'm not exactly sure how to take the screen protector off... although I THINK it will peel off if I ever need to replace it. (I don't want to try it, because I don't want to decrease its stickiness.) Since I don't have instructions, though, I just don't know how it works.

First things first, this case DOES NOT cover the front of your iPhone. If you're looking for something that will completely encase your mobile, check somewhere else. If you don't mind having the front of your phone exposed, this is a wonderful case. It is extremely easy to attach to the phone, does a great job of protecting the back of your phone from scratches and dings, and feels great in your hand. The case is extremely lightweight and adds next to no extra bulk to the phone. The material also comes out of my pockets easily, unlike many of the other cases I have tried that turn my pockets inside-out every time I try to get at my phone. This is a great case, at a great price.

It isn't going to protect your phone for huge falls, but it's slim and protects the back. Couldn't be happier! My guess is that this is what the COZIP was for the 1st gen Iphone.

I've ordered a lot of iPhone cases, but no one was as good as this. Finally, I have case that does not ruin the beauty of my phone. It fits great to iPhone 3GS and makes it less slick. That refer specially to black case. I also ordered white model and it is much more glossy.
Negative: You should know that you have to remove case if you wish to use iphone dock. BTW, that is problem of all cases.

this is a BEAUTIFUL case that doesnt detract from the beauty of the iphone. its slim and stylish, and does a pretty good job of protecting the iphone.

my only beef with it is that it doesnt cover the chrome. although, by not doing so it adds to the aesthetics of the phone. ive dropped my phone many times and so far everything works fine! no scratches on the back (although i wonder if one tiny scratch came when i put this case on my iphone). i bought a mirror-like screen protector to keep my phone looking hot! :)

the case *is* sort of cheap looking (on the inside, not outside). its metal interior is "coated" (aka spray painted) black - but only near the circle cut out. the rest of the interior is white. i think this looks cheap. the outside of the cover is fine - its hard and thin but it has a "grippy" texture to it. i dont know how to describe it.

its a beautiful case! everyone i know has complimented me on it! GET IT!

When this case first arrived and I was putting it on my iPhone I thought, "This hardly goes over the edges of my phone, it can't possibly stay on like that, can it?"
After a week of my normal iPhone use, not only does it stay on but has earned my respect for its unobtrusive protection that still allows me to slip the phone easily in and out of my pockets. It's such a slim fit that it almost feels like it's not there. I still see the nice chrome bevel of my iPhone all the way around the screen and it doesn't interfere with the great design job that Apple did on the iPhone - one of the features that makes it such an attractive device.
If you haven't tried one of these polycarbonate cases yet, you're missing out. What distinguishes this elago product from others is the unobtrusive fit and the clean lines from a quality manufacturing process.
This case is not what you would want when taking your iPhone out camping or to an outdoor event where you expect rough handling - there are others that provide more all around protection and some have snap on polycarbonate front covers that mate with the back cover to create a robust all-around protector. But for casual, everyday use this case leaves your iPhone looking beautiful while protecting it from scratches.

The case shipped with a static cling screen protector, but I haven't tried that yet as I already have another (rather expensive one that I bought from the Apple online store) installed.

First off, I went out of my way to look through my amazon account so that I could write a review for this product, i was inclined to.

I just got an iphone 3G, and was looking for cases. I initially wanted to get the case at the apple store, but its like $35 for the case which is hte slimmest available.

I ordered this case in lieu of the one at the applestore, and I couldn't be happier! This case is 1/3rd of the price of what you would pay for the applestore thin case.

Its simple: I got my package, and snapped my phone into the case ..just like that! It also comes with a free film for the front, which wasn't too hard to put on (I was impatient and now i have some fuzz). The case shell feels really good, and the added bulk is barely noticeable. It feels the exact same in my packet without the case.

Couldn't be happier! I am so glad I didn't spend more money at the applestore.
