4.0 out of 5 stars Meets, but does not exceed, expectations
From previous reviews and the iGo product site, I knew that there would be issues powering my Dell D600. However, it did have the correct tip included and was able to power (not charge the battery) my laptop during an eight hour car ride for DVD playback just fine. Bought all the other tips for iPod, cell phones, cameras, camcorder and even for my Bluetooth headset. All...

3.0 out of 5 stars Gets the job done
I have been using the iGo everywhere130 model for about one month now and it has met my minimum expectations. It works from both AC and DC outlets as advertised. Unfortunately, it is not recognized by my Dell 9200 as a power supply with enough power to support full clock speed. My system always comes up in power saving mode when using the iGo. This is inconvenient as I had hoped to only have to carry this power supply for all uses. I still have to carry the Dell power brick for times when I need full speed out of my system.

Bought all the other tips for iPod, cell phones, cameras, camcorder and even for my Bluetooth headset. All charged without incident. Despite the heft, was still lighter than multiple chargers. It's really Dell's proprietary stupidity that is causing this product to be less than stellar.

Am traveling to Asia in a few weeks and will test the plane DC connection at that time.

4.0 out of 5 stars New tip charges my Dell Latitude D610, May 11, 2007

I just got this product so I can't give it 5 stars yet. The manufacturer of this product recently introduced the S35 tip, which will charge a Dell laptop. The S35 tip replaces the S20 tip, which only powered the Dell. The current bundle comes with the S20 tip, so you'll need to buy the S35 tip separately.

2.0 out of 5 stars Beware! Does not charge battery for a Dell Latitude D610, September 6, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iGo everywhere130 Universal Notebook Power Adapter with iGo dualpower accessory (Personal Computers)
In the fine print on the hang tag (which I only saw after I purchased the item) it says that it will only power a Latitude D610; it will not charge the battery. Useless as far as I am concerned as that was one of the main things I needed it to do. Also, with all the tips for powering a second device, I was dismayed NOT to find one for my Palm Treo 700. So the two things I bought it for: charging the D610's battery and at the same time charge my Treo, it doesn't do. I'm sending it back. Oh ... and the main power unit is very heavy. Nicely designed, but heavy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Travel Lighter (unless you have a Dell), April 3, 2007
This review is from: iGo everywhere130 Universal Notebook Power Adapter with iGo dualpower accessory (Personal Computers)
I've used mine for over a year, it's great for travel - charging my Treo, wife's cell, Nintendo DS, 3 different laptops. The only problem I have is that it will not charge my Dell's battery b/c they use a proprietary charger. That's not iGo's problem, but is why my next laptop will be anything except a Dell.

2.0 out of 5 stars Essentially useless for Dell D-Series notebook, January 2, 2007

The supplied S20 tip for Dell is "Power Only", will not charge the battery. iGo's support blog says it's due to a business agreement with Dell. Dell sells it's own OEM version of the iGo (which is crippled in a different way).

I wanted to use this as a replacement for 4 adapters I carry in my laptop bag. The iGo adapter cannot replace your Dell adapter on a business trip. Very disappointing. Partially Dell's fault, I guess, but I'm not inclined to buy anything else from iGo after my assessment of this model.

I've been using the iGo for a year now and have been nothing but satisfied. I've used it with Apple Powerbooks, iPod, now iPhone, Motorola cell phone, Motorola bluetooth headset, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, Sony Reader. My only problem right now is I have a Dell laptop from work and need to get the new S35 tip. For $10 a tip it beats the heck out of carrying chargers for my ebook, 2 laptops (mine and my company's), a game machine, cell phone, cell phone headset. It's heavy because it's versatile but try to pack all the chargers I'd need for a trip in the same space and weight as the everywhere130 and you just couldn't do it. I've experience no failures, breakages or any problem of any kind.

2.0 out of 5 stars Okay, not great, July 22, 2007
This review is from: iGo everywhere130 Universal Notebook Power Adapter with iGo dualpower accessory (Personal Computers)
I bought the Igo because it was on sale for the same price as the standard adapter for my computer (HP DV1000t) but came with so much more. The power supply is great and the tips work alright, but the multiple connections and cords means that something is *always* coming unplugged. And today, barely a month after I bought it, the cable connecting my computer to the power brick broke. (The head which goes into the brick separated from the cable; it appears irreperable.) Hopefully the replacement cord will work better, but overall I'd recommend getting something less bulky.

If you fly much, it is a must. Most Airlines have power ports and therefore you can just plug in and power your laptop forever...then at the destination you change cords and use the AC in your hotel etc. I could not be happier. If you are thinking of just getting the AC version without the Cigarette lighter adapter, think again and send the extra bucks to have the long term versatility.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Device, very handy, May 13, 2007

This is a great device as it will power an Lenovo T60, my cell phone and iPod all at the same time any where that I happen to be...in a car, on a plane, at home or on the road. No need to worry with bringing a separate cord for each device.

The only slight comment that I have is that the power converter box is heavy...which I guess should be expected given that it does so much.
