5.0 out of 5 stars Better in Everyway than 130
Dell's don't charge with the iGo Everywhere130, but that's Dell's fault, not iGo. However, after 2 years of use my everywhere130 died and I loved it enough to buy another. I ended up with the everywhere85 and low and behold it does charge my Inspiron 6000, which the 130 did not. It is also smaller and less bulky. I think the 130 is a great product, I loved it enough to...

1.0 out of 5 stars cord problems
I purchased this power supply to take on the road. I am traveling about half the time, so the unit gets a fair amount of use. The cord from the power supply to the computer is poorly designed where it attached to the charger. 1.0 out of 5 stars cord problems, January 16, 2009
This review is from: iGo everywhere85 70-Watt Combo AC/DC Universal Power Adapter with Dual Charging Device PS00120-0005 (Personal Computers)
I purchased this power supply to take on the road. I am traveling about half the time, so the unit gets a fair amount of use. The cord from the power supply to the computer is poorly designed where it attached to the charger. The plug at the charger end is difficult to extract once it is seated, and I have to do this several times a week whenever I pack things up. This cord failed after about a year, and was replaced under warranty with the new style (which has a spring-wound take-up reel.) It took almost a month to get the new cord (although they say within 10 business days.) The new model cord failed after about three months, and now I'm waiting for the replacement (still under warranty, luckily.) I guess I will end up ditching this thing once the cord fails after the warranty period is over.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ended Support by iGo, July 21, 2009

This was a wonderful adapter. I accumulated quite a few extra tips to work with my various devices. Now I learned that the geniuses at iGo have discontinued this model and therefore supply no further tips for this device. My only solution would be to purchase an entirely new adapter from these folks ...... and then the tips ...... so that they could then discontinue THAT model as well and I could start all over.

Avoid the iGo company's products. They are idiots.

I think the 130 is a great product, I loved it enough to lug it around the world instead of my cell phone, camera, iPod and other charges. I'm just happy to finally not have to also take a seperate charger for my laptop. Lighter, smaller, need less chargers. One word of warning though, the laptop tips from the 130 do not work for the 85, but the other tips do.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not quite 5 star, November 25, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iGo everywhere85 70-Watt Combo AC/DC Universal Power Adapter with Dual Charging Device PS00120-0005 (Personal Computers)
I was a bit disappointed that 1. None of the included tips fits the dual-power accessory, 2 none of the tips I purchased and used with my Igo PS00099, which this replaced, work with this model and 3, the instructions are less than clear and,in type size and graphic size, difficult to read without 20/20 vision. Otherwise this works as advertised, full featured if not shipped fully equipped, and at a nice weight and size for travel. It actually fits well within the included travel pouch; something I could not say about the PS00099.

1.0 out of 5 stars Just added frustration, February 18, 2009

This review is from: iGo everywhere85 70-Watt Combo AC/DC Universal Power Adapter with Dual Charging Device PS00120-0005 (Personal Computers)
Purchased this product to solve my multiple cord issues while traveling. First of all because of all the pieces you need for multiple powering situations, you end up with just as much bulk as if you had several power cables.
Next, the product is just garbage. After a few weeks the retractable unit for the retractable cord broke so it no longer retracts. Shortly therafter the Power Adapter went on the fritz and I have to continuously unplug and replug the power from the wall because it just keep going in and out. This happens every few minutes so not at all convenient when running a mtg or trying to get some work done. Of course my return window had expired when all this started and the response from I Go has not been helpful. Guess I'm back to my bag of cords until something better comes along but I would not at all recommend this product for any reason. Not at all happy after spending over $80 for the system.

5.0 out of 5 stars Half the price of a replacement power supply and better, April 29, 2009

Somehow misplaced my OEM power supply a month ago, still haven't found it. This not only replaced the original power supply at about half the price, but is extremely versatil enough to replace or be used for testing all kinds of laptops, and low current printers. Very compact in it's carrying case. (An improvement over older versions). Definitely beats running down to the computer shop and paying quite a bit more for a power supply you may never need again after 6 months.

This product does all as delivered. It's a little bulkier than carrying your regular power cord, but nice not to have to bring more than one cord. It came with adapters that work with my sony notebook and acer netbook, but not one that works with my phone. My only gripe is that the adapter tips are pretty spendy- almost $15 to get the tip for my LG phone?! That's more expensive than that charger. But it works as advertised.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality, good idea, February 6, 2010

I have had everywhere85 for the last year. I have tips for, IPhone, Kindle, HP Laptop, and few other battery options. I travel with it twice a month. I really liked the idea, and the product was very convenient, when it works.

The quality of the product is not the best, certainly not for the price. The cord on mine has gone bad twice, even with good care. The tips are not a perfect fit. The service from the company is poor.

Overall, an ok solutions, but hoping for something better.

I have used the the Igo everywhere85 for several years; charging a fujitsu umpc, dell laptops, and my cell phone. Never any problems. Some complain about the "extra cords", but hey- they are cords and not more bricks. Never had a problem with it- does what it says. The best feature? Charging your cell phone and your laptop at the same time. Priceless. Even though the price on these is very low.

Very compact and flexible, included the adapter tip I needed.
Much improved over an older iGo power adapter I was replacing.
