2.0 out of 5 stars Frommer's, you disappointed me, June 10, 1999
By A Customer
I was so excited to head to Europe for my very first time, so I bought this book to help me out. Needless to say, I've never been so disappointed with a purchase. I additionally bought a Rick Steves' guide, and he blows Frommer's away. He actually stays at the hotels he recommends, while Frommer's seems to just include any hotel that gives them money to be mentioned in their books. I've never stayed at a more disgusting place as I did in Paris - one that Frommer's recommended. Thanks for nothing, Frommer's.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most helpful and useful book I used!, October 26, 1998
By A Customer
When I spent the summer in Italy, I wanted to get as much of an experience for the least amount of money. Another student had left this in my apartment, and I used it to travel to NICE inexpensive places in Europe. I went to Nice and Cannes for less than $150 for a weekend, including travel by train and wonderful hotel accomodations.
