My son, who is a fan of Stuart Little, has had this book for a couple years, and still really likes it. The reading level is good for a reader at the end of first grade or the beginning of second. The story is good for a wide range of age levels, which makes it a good book for very precocious or for older readers. Also, it is told well, considering the limitations of the reading level.
