Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

Grade 7-9–Georgia continues her fabbity-fab ride through adolescence. Pining for her boyfriend Robbie, aka the Sex God, who is in Kiwi-a-gogo land, she finally receives the long-awaited letter. To her dismay, it is anything but romantic and she finds herself with a severe case of heart breakosity. No fear, her attention is quickly diverted by Masimo, an Italian American who is the new boy in town. Even though the teen hasn't matured much, her voice is still fresh. The book will have readers laughing out loud and looking for more. This installment ends with Vati announcing that the family is going to Hamburger-a-gogo land, the USA, on break, leaving one to believe there is a sequel in the works. The book can stand alone but some of the innuendos will be missed by readers unfamiliar with the previous titles. Students will be asking for this one and fans will keep it off the shelf.–Angela M. Boccuzzi, Merton Williams' Middle School, Hilton, NY

From Booklist

Gr. 7-10. Georgia is back again, and if she languishes at first, pining for the Sex God (boyfriend Robby) away in Kiwi-a-gogo land (New Zealand), it doesn't last long. There's a new boy in town--Masimo, the half-Italian, half-American lead singer for the Stiff Dylans--and Georgia finds her allegiance to the Sex God waning as Masimo shows an interest in her. As in the four earlier titles, it's not so much what happens as how Rennison relates it. The deliciously silly slang and a hilarious glossary make ordinary events (reading Heidi to her younger sister) hysterically funny. Fans of Angus the cat will be pleased to hear that his genes are all too present in his offspring; the only thing better than Angus is a mini-Angus. This won't stand alone, but Georgia's zillions of loyal readers will be delighted. Debbie Carton

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Book in the Series, August 12, 2004
By K. Roth (Columbiaville, MI United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I think that this book is better than the last one in this series. Georgia is 16 years old now and she is crying over the Sex God leaving her behind. She still has a thing for Dave the Laugh but meets a new guy in this book
Georgia's parents are focused on more in this book and her wise cracks about them are hilarious. I laughed out loud multiple times when reading it. The only thing that I don't get is the title. I might have missed something while reading!
Worth buying and reading. It is a quick read, only taking me a couple nights to do so.
If you haven't read any of the other books in the series, here is the list in the order they should be read:
1. Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging
2. On the Bright Side, I'm now the Girlfriend of a Sex God
3. Knocked out my my Nunga-Nungas
4. Dancing in my Nuddy-Pants
5. Away Laughing on a Fast Camel

5.0 out of 5 stars gordy!!!!!, July 18, 2004
By Catherine (Chattanooga, TN USA) - See all my reviews
this is the best!(and longest) book so far in the series. georgia misses robbie, still has the horn for dave & meets her new double cool with knobs sex god, masimo. she gets to keep one of angus's kittens, who is crosseyed. she snogs dave, even though he's just her horn adviser, and she is going to follow masimo to america. i got this book the day it came out, and had it preordered since february. i finished it in 2 hours & loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars still fab after 5 books, May 31, 2004
By A Customer
Georgia Nicolson is depressed after Robbie leaving for kiwi-a-gogo land, and her friends aren't very comforting. Things get worse when dave the laugh gets a girlfriend after leading her on. his explanation is that he's still got the general horn, so he and georgia sort of decide to be just friends(with benefits of course!) And she doesn't mind, because she has found a replacement sex god in the form of Masimo, the new lead singer of the Stiff Dylans. Georgia finds a book in her mother's room that tells how to make any man fall in love with you, and she is determined to put her new-found skills to use. This book had just as many laughs as the last ones, if not more. it is really much better than nuddy pants, and is just as good, if not better than sex god and nunga nungas. Have fun!
