In a slim yet substantial volume that might easily become a handbook for Christian feminists, Gundry encourages persons committed to "full religious freedom for women" to take stock of their progress so they can consolidate gains. Her most interesting argument is based on the premise that all Christians comprise the church. Therefore, receiving sanction from denominational hierarchies is not a prerequisite for ministry since established structures are only one avenue to that goal. In addition to a brief historical overview and insights from her own experiences, she gives strategies for effecting change, techniques for managing the stress that comes with being a changemaker, and resources for further reference and support.
