From School Library Journal
PreSchool-Grade 1–When a father panda takes his son and daughter for a drive to take a look at the ocean, the water looks so inviting that they want to go in but–no swimsuits. Alice suggests they go home and get them (It'll only take half an hour). What evolves is a day at the beach with numerous trips back and forth for goggles, shovels, a camera, and more because, after all, It'll only take half an hour! The characters and background are composed of clay, wire, and cardboard, painted in primary acrylic colors, and then digitally photographed and computer generated, giving the story a three-dimensional look with a puppet-show feel. This is a warm family story that youngsters will enjoy, especially when they chime in on the repetitive line.–Wanda Meyers-Hines, Ridgecrest Elementary School, Huntsville, AL
