Appalling--What's for afters?, January 19, 1999

One strawberry tart without much rat in it later...This book contains many great Python songs, including "I'm a Lumberjack and I'm OK," "Galaxy Song" (from "Meaning of Life"), "Every Sperm is Sacred," "Dennis Moore," "Eric the Half a Bee," "Always Look on the Bright Side," "The Philosophers' Drinking Song," "Money," "Christmas in Heaven," "I've Got a Ferret Sticking Up My Nose," etc. etc. It's musically and lyrically accurate, although as one other reviewer noted, the insanely creative Terry Gilliam layout and artwork sometimes make it hard to read the stuff--but that's part of the fun, isn't it? There are a lot of wonderful surprises in here. Not only that, it's a great resource that will give you, your friends, and--if they're cool--your family--something to do that's much more entertaining than watching another boring episode of Novel Writing or eating Spam.
