Interesting guy and marketing guru Ben Mack decided to interview me in a webcast, and we ended up talking about why I call it statistical semiotics and not memetics, what the difference is between a meme and a semiotic replicator, why the idea of memetics exerts such a fatal fascination to advertising, marcom, and marketing types, and, oh, lots of stuff. Somewhere along the way we mentioned Edward Bernays, problems in monotheism, direct mail marketing, and even a tiny bit about science fiction here and there.  I'm not sure how long the replay will remain available, but for the moment, it's here.  Happy listening.
