About the Author

Matt Groening, the creator and executive producer of the Emmy^® Award-winning series The Simpsons, as well as creator of the cartoon strip "Life in Hell" and the animated FOX television series Futurama, is the man responsible for bringing animation back to primetime and creating an immortal nuclear family. See the "candy wrapper rustler", the "hymn hummer" and all the others you remember )or still know, from church. See Homer's water-slide-to-the-baptismal-pool, and more. Fun to give as a gift.

I purchased two of these books for each of my sons who are in their mid-30s and grew up watching the Simpsons. Both of them laughed continually as they read the books and have enjoyed them immensely. The books now have an honored place on their coffee tables in Asheville and Charlotte, NC. I recommend the book to anyone who likes a good laugh and tongue-in-cheek humor.

This is a funny little book that even most religious people should be able to enjoy. It doesn't go too far in poking fun.

A highlight is the peek inside Flanders' head where one can inspect the varioius compartments of his mind.
