Product Description

Timely, to date, we have the only book on the market. Hot test-more than 35,000 technicians will take the test in 1998 because most major computer manufacturers and resellers-including compUSA, Packard Bell, Intel, HP, Apple, Compaq, and Microsoft-require their service employees to be A+ certified. Blessed by CompTIA, the official sponsor of the exam. Authors are insiders and participate in the exam preparation. Will include a special section on taking the "upgrade exam"-a shorter test covering the new material for technicians who have already been certified.

2.0 out of 5 stars Publisher could do much better, no cd, book upside down, July 12, 1998
By A Customer
Although the book was well written there were no other aids like a cdrom. Pages themselves were upside down from outer cover and some pages were not properly positioned when printed. There are several other books much better than this one. I would not buy. (hard cover binding reviewed)

4.0 out of 5 stars It's an ok book for a general overview, October 24, 1997
Several questions in the sample tests was not covered in the text. This book is a good general overview of the test. Sad part is the first 2 chapters is pretty much sales pitch for you to take the test. Good info on ideas on troubleshooting and client-services skills

1.0 out of 5 stars Concur with all previous comments
This is a marketing pamphlet, not a study guide. The authors should be ashamed of themselves for writing this, and even more ashamed for releasing a new edition.
