5.0 out of 5 stars A Locksmith Shop Owner, May 18, 2000
It's the biggest locksmithing book I've ever seen, and packed with useful information. It's a great book for teaching my new locksmiths and I use it for reference all the time. Also good for preparing for locksmith licensing and certfication. The many pictures and drawings make the book easy to understand. A lot of good reference materials, like key blank list, depth and space charts, lockset function charts, supplier addresses, glossary. In short, it's the newest, the biggest, and the best of the locksmithing books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, January 9, 2004
By "gurt12" (CA, USA) - See all my reviews
I am new to the study of locksmithing. I have worked a lot with locks and have always wanted to learn more. I read this book from cover to cover and found it very informative. I felt it went into detail a little too much with specific models of locks and key cutters, but could be helpful. All in all though, I did learn a lot and would recommend this book to anyone who wants to get started in locksmithing.

I found "Locksmithing" to be a very good book for beginners and for pros. It gives information that I haven't found in other lock books. It's easy to understand. A lot of decent illustrations. I like it. I recommend it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Rehash of instruction sheets from various manufacturers.
Although it had its merits, this book was primarily a rehash of instruction manuals from various lock manufacturers. Upon receiving this title I was sorely disappointed. Read more
