Review
"Pohanish - Gases in small volumes can be serious physical(thermal, fire and explosions) hazards. They can also be toxicants. There is a definite need for this unique and comprehensive book. Its own track record speaks for itself. Any publishing program in chemical engineering and/or hazardous materials needs this book, or one like it. Stull - The comprehensive nature of the book in covering the full spectrum of properties in a chemical-by-chemical manner makes this book more useful than some of the more common references commonly used (e.g., Chemical Engineering Handbook, Perry's and the CRC Handbook of Chemical and Physics; McKetta - Yes, very much. The new editons have been used as bible. Yaws will update & add good additional material. Grossel - Yes. It will provide readers with much useful data on physical safety and environmental properties needed for design and operation."
Product Description
The Proposed book is a new edition of the Matheson Gas Data book which is widely used in industrial facilities and research laboratories. The most recent edition sold 18,000 copies. The purpose of the new edition would provide expanded coverage of gases, and to cover more gases. The expanded coverage would encompass physical, thermodynamic, environmental, transport, safety, and health and related properties of gases of major importance. It will also cover known applications, government regulations, and first aid information. This book will be of interest to both the safety and engineering professional who use compressed gas.
