fredrick Douglass was a Ground Breaking Pioneer who wanted to better himself. He truly overcame so much in such a short time to overcome the harsh Realitys of slavery. He taught Himself to read. RIP to Ossie Davis who always was a champion of Black History. a good start to the New reader of Fredrick Douglass.
