Editorial Reviews
From Kirkus Reviews
Dinosaur fans will instantly warm to this friendly prehistoric duo and their endearing playmates. In simple, colorful, and accessible illustrations, Most (Hippopotamus Hunt, 1994, etc.) depicts a day in the life of a pair of protoceratops as they learn and play in preschool, celebrate birthdays, and glumly work through a punishment doled out by a stern father. The pair sweetly share everything, from their pals, to household chores. The clever connection of events will hold youngsters' interests while they practice the tongue-twisting phrases with the letter P. The author also subtly points out the true meaning of a pair, with the numerals 1 and 2 prominently portrayed on nearly every page. The highlight, however, is Most's pink-and-purple palette, which is playful and perfectly pleasing to the eye. (Picture book. 2-6) -- Copyright ©1998, Kirkus Associates, LP. All rights reserved.
