5.0 out of 5 stars Best child-rearing book ever, May 21, 2007
By WH44 (Germany) - See all my reviews
I have read many books on child-rearing, but this one really stuck out from the pack.

The main theme of the book: if you want your child to make sound ethical decisions on their own, then you must raise their empathy for their fellow human beings. It has many tips on how to promote empathy in situations that come up in daily life. Note that this is sometimes helpful with adults too. :-)

Despite the title, it is not religiously oriented: the book supports its thesis and each bit of advice by citing various studies and relating them to everyday life.
