Metacreation's star software Painter 4 is so rich of possibilities that some may experience a sense of aw when lloking at the complex interface for the first time. This book allows the reader to see that Painter is truly an "intuitive" infographics software. Having introduced the major functions clearly in the first part, the author moves on to the real heart of all "Wow Books" : analysis of works by leading Painter artists. The oeuvres chosen for dissection are of high quality and studying them brings the author to explain some of those "it's so easy once you have thought of it" technics. This book should bring anyone, the professional looking for new weapons and also the beginner hoping to "learn" Painter all the infos needed plus many secrets of the trade and ideas for further exploration. A perfect example of what a good software related book should be.
