Editorial Reviews

Product Description

This book is for the many teachers and students who want to create media, rather than use commercially produced products. Digital multimedia technologies are based on the assumption that users are also creators. This book explores the unlimited educational-creative potential of combining digital media and technologies with the expressive powers of traditional media production methods as pioneered by the great media producers of the past. This practical book describes ideas and techniques that will bring life, expression, and learning to the application of various multimedia tools. The projects can be followed step-by-step or can be modified and interpreted to match particular purposes and skills. The responsibility is on the creator to use these projects to experiment, to try, to retry, and to create. The ideas, projects, and exercises in this book can be adapted to many teaching and learning situations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Multimedia for all people, December 21, 2007
I have had the opportunity to use this as a textbook as I have studied under Dr. Counts. However, it is an excellent resource for anyone who is interested in learning about designing and producing multimedia. Dr. Counts is the consummate professional in both the arts and technical production of film and multimedia in general. I highly recommend this book and any other publication by Dr. Counts.
