I taught this class and used these books. The Participants guide should be required for the video, as the two go hand in hand. The Workbook (and book) can be used but aren't required - they do offer deeper study into Boundaries, than the Participants Guide. I found the course fabulous and recommend everyone should go through it or at least be familiar with it.

Excellent book that I have already convinced one of my friends to buy. This is a book that speaks of boundaries in general with all of your relationships including personal and work related. It's a good reminder that we don't need to feel bad when we are assertive about how we feel (even as Christians). Cloud and Townsend are great authors and I would sincerely recommend this book as all of us could use some help with our relationship boundaries.

As I read this book, it reminded me of what practical changes anyone could make with proper guidance and self-realization. The book has a great way of giving examples and suggestions on how to learn to give answers that you "really want to give". As long as the reader is honest with themselves when the opportunity is presented, one could easily see simple changes. Upon finishing the book, it would be recommended to go back and review certain chapters for a more direct study. Some areas are not easily remedied upon first recognition. I do encourage readers to use the workbook along side of the reading materials for better results. People will learn why and how they answer with damaging consequences for themselves. They will learn how to create an environment to use the advice from this book and gain personal growth from the outcomes.
