I guess I expected this book to be regular sized with daily entries like my other Streams in the Desert devotional. I would like to have known--or had it emphasized--that this is a tiny little gift book, albeit pleasing to the eye, about 1/3 as long as the regular devotional and does NOT have entries for every day of the year. Had I known about the actual size and sparse content, I might NOT have paid $10 for it. This is probably what I would have paid at the local Christian bookstore and therefore was not really a good Amazon deal as I originally thought when I placed the order. Came right on time in excellent condition though.

I was given the book "Streams in the Desert" 2 years ago. Found this one on Amazon "Streams in the Desert: Hope for the Hurting Heart" and am glad I did. The first book was really good but the last one is even better for someone going through a painful and difficult time in their life. I cannot express in words how comforting it has been to me. It doesn't matter where your pain may be coming from I believe this book can and will speak words of comfort and healing to you as well. It also makes a wonderful gift for others who are hurting.

Each devotional is encourgaing and insiteful and written from the heart of others that have "hurt". I recommend it... highly!
