Editorial Reviews

From AudioFile
Against a backdrop combining Cleveland's Jewish community and its local labor movement, private detective Milan Jacovich is hired to find out who murdered a hotshot attorney while he was on a Caribbean vacation. Author Les Roberts has obvious talents as a reader. His dialogue is particularly good, and the characters come alive both on the printed page and audio tape. But for some reason, Roberts reads the narration as though mumbling under his breath, making it almost impossible for the listener to follow most of the story. Review
"Boston has Spenser. Detroit has Amos Walker. And Cleveland has Milan Jacovich." --The Cleveland Plain Dealer

"An exciting, hard-boiled detective story." --Virginian-Pilot

"Jacovich [is] one of the most fully-realized characters in modern crime fiction...Roberts is a confident writer who knows his character well and who has made him complex enough to be interesting." --Mostly Murder
