"I personally use the acupressure and toning techniques in Timeless Face before photo shoots to relax, tone, and stimulate my facial expression. I have found the benefits are both immediate and long lasting. And who better to advise any woman on natural, timeless beauty than Ellae Elinwood!" --Stephanie Seymour "I especially appreciate how Timeless Face is not simply a 'how-to' book. It relates our faces to our entire lives, and it shows how our emotions, our bodies, and our spirits have dealt with our life's journey." --Donna Eden, author of Energy Medicine -- Review

5.0 out of 5 stars Patty, January 24, 2002
By Patty (Reno, NV USA) - See all my reviews
I purchased this book and held onto it for at least a year, always telling myself I'd start it "tomorrow." One day I was looking in the mirror and said, "That's it! I'm going to start today!" I did, and now my only regret is not beginning the program sooner! One thing that I was not expecting is to have changes occur in my personality due to these wonderful and simple facial exercises. I stopped procrastinating, my life became more filled with promise, and I have felt so much more alive. Not to mention it has done some very interesting and positive things to my sexual desires :)
And for those of you that work out your body...you know how you feel after a workout...full of energy and high on life? That's how you feel after doing facial exercises, only BETTER because the face is so interconnected to your personality. wow! what a treat! I HIGHLY recommend this book. Thanks Ellae for sharing your incredibly ingenius exercises with the rest of us!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This Program Is Helping Me, February 28, 2000
By A Customer
I have alot of face exercise books but this one is different. The others all they said they would replace plastic surgery but they didn't. My skin was pretty thrashed from sun, age etc. and the surgery smoothed out the sags and lines I looked better and am happy I got the surgery but still my face didn't look quite right. The skin was smooth but my youthful muscles were gone. I tried this book and now I have soft and elastic muscle tone where I was sort of skinned before. I also notice I just feel better after I have done the full program and so I am just starting to try on some of the authors ideas about feeling better through the toning. It makes sense and I like the feeling of not being afraid of using my face but instead keeping the muscle tone elastic and healthy so I don't have to be scared of smiling to much and getting more lines. I guess I would say that I have a healthier more youthful face because of this book and I understand now how to have my face retain this over the years. I wish I had started this in my 30's I might have avoided my surgery for a longer time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very accessible, April 26, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I value the Maggio book for it's precision but find the exercises confusing and tedious and so don't do them often. This book is more easy going but still fully details which muscles are being worked, offers more than one photo of the exercise and, if you're into it, lists the emotions causing those muscles to need to be rehabilitated.

I do wish there was a picture detailing the accupressure point on the pages of instructions accompanying every exercise but a sticky bookmark makes it easy enough to flip to the graphic when necessary. And, the thought she gives to help explain the movements are excellent. For instance, the Expression given for the Eye Crunch is, "I'm not peeking!" and it really helps one 'get' the movement far better than any other explainations I've read.

I've read that stretching the skin is to be avoided but no longer think this is cause for concern unless one is in the habit of wrecklessly distorting the face with one's hands for the mere fun of it. I notice on the instruction sheet for Frownies that one is required to stretch the skin in order to place them and many, many women have sworn by them for decades so it can't be a bad thing to *carefully* move to skin to rehabilitate it.
