Product Description

Remember Those Choose Your Own Adventure Books of Old?

If not, prepare yourself for a ride unlike any other--a fantastical, insane, hilarious reading experience that submerges you deep in a story where you are the main character. Throughout the book, you will be faced with many choices. What you decide at every turn determines whether you enjoy a night of mind-blowing passion or an evening of lying in a pool of you own vomit. YOUR FATE IS IN YOUR OWN HANDS!

If so, turn to page 1 and regain that childlike sense of wonder as you navigate through a very adult world of bars, parties, dating, drugs, and big-city mayhem in your quest to find the object of your desire. Complete with separate adventures for girls and guys, Big Night Out will keep you reading for hours and hours without experiencing the same adventure twice.

Your mission in Big Night Out is simple: track down your love interest and get laid. Complicating matters is the fact that your beloved is at a party, and you weren't invited. You've got to find a way to tag along with one of your friends--some of whom are more cooperative than others; after all, each has an agenda of his own. And the city you live in poses its own challenges; you may encounter pickpockets, sexually transmitted diseases, meathead bouncers, inept swing dancers, and a full cast of extras. Add to that practical necessities like securing food lest you pass out from drinking too much, and Big Night Out could turn out to be the most hellish night you've ever had--or the time of your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Read, Great Entertainment!, June 17, 2000
By A Customer
The concept of this book is a winner--and the 241 possible storylines--make it a hit! Reminiscent of those "choose your own adventure" books of long ago, it is just pure entertainment.

A great feature of this book is that you start with a male and female that room together. Depending on your mood, you can choose to "be" either gender, and have a great time navagating throughout the evening.

It is a great book to take on subways or any other type of commute--giving you a relatively quick fix of entertainment on the road!

5.0 out of 5 stars wildly entertaining, December 27, 2000
By "smf03" (new jersey) - See all my reviews
A fan of Choose Your Own Adventure books as a girl, I had high hopes for Big Night Out, which fulfilled and exceeded all of my expectations.

The set-up of the story allows you to navigate through either a male or female perspective, totaling 241 different possibilities. While structurally the concept is the same as the Choose Your Own Adventure books, the plot is much different: it takes the child-like sense of adventure with a grown-up context. Instead of searching haunted houses and the such, the narrator must negotiate bars, clubs, parties, and city streets in an attempt to find their desired guy/girl and get laid. Many different complications can arise, including paying attention to your alcohol intake to avoid getting sick or into trouble.

Hysterical twists and turns, as well as a large variety of supporting characters, makes Big Night Out a laugh-out-loud funny book. It will keep you entertained for hours.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good buildup, but fizzles out quickly, March 9, 2000
By A Customer
The idea for this book was very attracting but it left me hanging (in a bad way). I started reading at 10pm and was reading "the end" by 10:05pm. I tried again making different choices and 5 minutes later I was back with the same guy and the same ending. I did get lucky both times, but I couldnt help thinking, how can it be over when it just started? This book is like a bad date, some good foreplay, but then wham, bam, thankyou ma'am.
