About the Author

Jeffrey D. Camm is Professor of Quantitative Analysis and Head of the Department of Quantitative Analysis and Operations Management at the University of Cincinnati. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he earned a BS in Mathematics from Xavier University and Ph.D. in Management Science from Clemson University. He has been at the University of Cincinnati for 15 years, and was a visiting scholar at Stanford University in 1992. Professor Camm has published over 20 papers in a variety of journals in the general area of applied optimization. In 1987 he was the recipient of the Harold Grilliot Award for the promotion of outstanding faculty/student relations and in 1995 he received the UC MBA Excellence in Teaching Award. An avid runner, in 1989 he ran a personal best 2 hours 29 minutes at the Columbus, OH Marathon. Dr. Camm has served as an operations research consultant to a number of organizations including Procter & Gamble, The Kroger Company, The United States Air Force, Ernst and Young Performance Improvement, Cinergy Inc., Louisville Gas & Electric, and Owens Corning.

In a clear way the book was written. via a step by step written procedure the program which I had installed (Crystal Ball) made clear to me. mathematics, functional decompessions and other methods for graping hold to decesion supporting w're made verry clear to me. You worked your way thrue via the sticking ways of examples, which can be used in real industrial life. a great thing to have on the shelf.
