From Library Journal
This is an open-minded glance at a wide-ranging set of beliefs about the spirit world and the methods practiced by mediums engaged with it. Apart from prediction and obtaining messages from the beyond, the author cites bereavement therapy and personal development as reasons for learning the healing art of mediumship. Gough has investigated mediumship around the world and offers a checklist to consider when consulting mediums. He encourages readers to explore their own mediumistic abilities through meditation, silence, and exercises. Appropriate as a brief introduction to the subject, but too cursory a treatment to assist readers considering professional mediumship, which the author is hasty in suggesting.?Bernadette McGrath, Vancouver P.L., B.C.
