4.0 out of 5 stars Blueprint for better relationships, December 31, 1999
By Vereline (Trinidad and Tobago) - See all my reviews
This review is from: What Every Woman Should Know About Men (Mass Market Paperback)
Since reading this book about 6 years ago I've looked in every bookstore to obtain my own copy without success. I found this book to be quite enlightening with respect to why males think and behave differently to women and the critical role females play in understanding these differences thus creating more effective and fulfilling relationships. I think it can also assist some males in better understanding themselves.

3.0 out of 5 stars A source for understanding evolving thoughts and beliefs on male and female differences, June 13, 2008
This review is from: What Every Woman Should Know About Men (Mass Market Paperback)
First published in 1983, What Every Woman Should Know About Men explains to women how, and why, men are different. Written primarily for single and married women over twenty five, Brothers is a source for understanding evolving thoughts and beliefs on male and female differences.

Brother's strongly implies that many of the characteristics of men are universal. She also implies the same about the nature of women. Although Dr. Brothers addresses individualistic male and female characteristics, it is frequently a passing thought. There are clearly some generalities about the nature of men and women that need to be explored, but focusing on these characteristics without adequately addressing the wide array of individuality of men and women is a deficiency of this book.
