Simple Gifts by Shelley Galloway is a heart warming tale of love and taking chances.

Tessa McGuiry's life was just going along smoothly until one night she met a ten-year-old boy. He was searching for cans behind her place of work. Something in Wes tugs at her heart and she must help him. When she realizes his mom is gravely ill and that the two of them are homeless she turns to her neighbor Keaton Phillips for help.

Cop Keaton Phillips has avoided Tessa since she moved in, to find her knocking at his door startles him. Keaton didn't have a very high opinion of Tessa but that slowly changes when she needs his help.

Helping Wes while his mom is in the hospital throws Keaton and Tessa in constant contact. They both come to realize that their first impressions of each other are way off.

Simple Gifts was a treasure. It really touched me deeply. The main characters slowly fall in love and their connection is heartfelt.

This is another delightful romance by Shelley Galloway. The characters are endearing, the situation true-to-life, and the story suspenseful as I read to see how they would work out their problems, and Wes's problems. I came to truly care about all the characters and thoroughly enjoyed this book.
