To all of you who wished me well after my recent car accident, thank you! I'm much better. The cracked ribs hardly bother me at all now. Surprise life bumps like that one can make us realize how precious our health can be. It also made me realize how tied to a time table I have become. I tend to race from one deadline to the next. From one booksigning to the next conference.
I had to get back to writing as soon as I could--sooner, because I had a deadline looming that I refused to miss. (and I made it) I would like to say that I've learned to slow down. But not really. I can't seem to say 'no' often enough. I'm trying, though.
The one thing that has made the most difference in my life's schedule is my new puppy, KiKi. A sweet, small sized Bichon Friese, she tends to be chaotic and a bit demanding. But she has brought such joy to my life that it's all worth it. She has also managed to make me move, taking her for short walks, when I was doubled over in pain and didn't believe I would ever see the world outside again.
In the past, I always accepted the theory that pets can lower our blood pressure and extend our live spans. Now I've been convinced beyond a doubt. It's no longer a theory for me. KiKi proved it. (If you'd like to check out KiKi's pictures, check out my website at:

I haven't figured out how to put KiKi in a book yet. But my newest release, Safe With A Stranger, comes out in June and begins a new series. Called: The SafeKeepers, this series is another light paranormal story filled with family, children in need, and romance. Hope you try it.
