I did not actually read this edition. I read the Seventh Edition, which was published in 1923. Thus it considers the tariff history of the US up to 1923. Taussig makes a lot of sense when he discusses tariffs, and his discussion shows that ordinarily the Democrats had a sounder position on tariffs than did the Republicans. Does anyone know of a book which would cover the tariff question from 1923 to the present? Reading the seventh edition of this book made me interested in reading a more current evaluation.
