I first read this book when I was learning to fence in High School. At the time I thought it was great. I remebered the clear illustrations fondly. I recently ordered the book when my daughter took up fencing and I found it to be severely dated by all the changes made to the sport. While I am not a fan of many of those changes I think this book will now only serve as an historical document.
