Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Engaging the critical discourses of feminism, postmodernism, and postcolonialism, the contributors in Relocating Cultural Studies explore the changes in cultural studies since its export from Britain. The volume focuses on how the class-dominated studies of earlier practitioners have given way to attempts to studies of marginalized groups, including women and aboriginal peoples in postcolonial states. It is a collection which can serve as an introduction to cultural studies, a critical re-evaluation of the earlier applications of cultural studies, and a compendium of current theoretical and research interests.

About the Author
Valda Blundell is Associate Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. John Shepherd is Director, School for Studies in Art and Culture at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Ian Taylor is Professor of Sociology at the University of Salford.
