4.0 out of 5 stars Surprising!, January 22, 2000
By Sherri Wasson (Dyersburg, TN USA) - See all my reviews
Okay, you got me! I'm an adult lover of young adult novels. I have to admit that I wasn't sure what I would think of this book when I bought it. I love the movies of the same name, and thought what the heck! I wasn't disappointed. The book was well written and not at all boring. The story was very creative, seeing as it all had to be built around a guy wearing a hockey mask. I read this book nonstop; I couldn't put the book down before I found out who survived, now could I?

4.0 out of 5 stars All in all, it was good, March 21, 1998
By A Customer
I liked this, but not totally. The idea was pretty gun-ho on Kelly's part, yet I felt bad for her. I never read the full book, just the most of it. the whoel story with the killer's family was strange, but cool. The deaths were pretty gruesome, especially with Tina and the lake and...read it to find out. I didn't liked the ending, and all the injuries Kelly suffered were pretty disgusting. And then there's one part...a supernatural part I won't ruin...which was lame and not lame. All in all, I liked the beginning and the explanation of Kelly's old best friend Carly, a character and the survivor of the first story. I recommend the first story, though. It was the best!!!! This was great.
