Editorial Reviews
From AudioFile
This radio drama offers listeners an opportunity to enjoy new material in the dramatized audio format. Originating from a BBC production, this popular mystery from P.D. James sounds almost like the sound track from a public television program--but there is nothing missing. Visual aspects of the scenes are amplified with sound effects. Each character is portrayed by an actor/actress who is credited on the packaging material. A range of accents and characterizations contributes to this complete performance. Though lovers of James's subtlety will miss a slow unfolding of the plot, the presentation has many dimensions. R.F.W.
