Lainie and Mitch, owners of a chic California clothing boutique, contract with a surrogate mother to produce their child. These parents form the Stork Club led by Barbara, the child psychologist who guides the group as they struggle to make their atypical family circumstances work. I was very caught up in the different lives of the Characters in The Stork Club which is a therapy group that is for people with children in non-traditional homes. Each individual and couple has a different story and the author takes you through each one. You are told how they made the decision that brought them to The Stork Club. A very modern and interesting story.

I just LOVED this book. I read it when I was pregnant with my daughter, and I was so wrapped in the different stories of the characters in this book. I simply could not put it down.

This book is a very emotional and somewhat sad story. It focuses on people who want or have children and is very cute and sad in some parts. A good rainy day book to curl up with.
