5.0 out of 5 stars Uplifting and Educational, December 30, 1998
By A Customer
I thought I found the best books on Infertility when I read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler and "Dr Marrs' Fertility Book," but I am thrilled with Dr Silber's recently revised book. Unlike Toni Weschler, Dr Silber sees beauty in modern reproductive techniques. And unlike Dr. Marrs, Dr. Silber is filled with enthusiasm and hope for overcoming even the most severe reproductive obstacles. I recommend the book for anyone looking for (1) a hopeful and encouraging view of how technology can help you achieve your dream, or (2) a detailed and rigorous overview of the very latest reproductive technologies.

This book is so easy and enjoyable to read. Although it is filled with detail and does not oversimplify technical explanations, it is conversational and the reader gets to know Dr. Silber as a guide and healer. I could barely put it down.

Do not avoid this book just because you think you haven't been trying to conceive long enough to justify consideration of reproductive technologies. If you're taking or considering clomid, now is the time to start thinking about these things. Dr. Silber persuasively argues that assisted reproduction technologies should NOT be considered a last resort, to be used when the couple has been emotionally and physically exhausted by less successful treatments.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good resource for infertility patients., June 14, 1999
By A Customer
This book contains a wealth of information, written in a very detailed manner. Because of all the details and specifics, however, it is a little difficult to read. I suggest it as a resource book, but not one that you are likely to read from cover to cover.
