Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal
Animal imagery in business books is in vogue, e.g., in Harvey Mackay's Swim with the Sharks ( LJ 4/15/88), Albert J. Bernstein and Sydney Craft Rozen's Dinosaur Brains ( LJ 4/1/89), and now in Strategy of the Dolphin. This is a "how to manage better" book, written by two members of the Brain Technologies Corporation, a corporate consulting firm. The "elegant sense-making" of dolphins is the favored middle ground between the winner-and-loser view of "sharks" and the don't-make-any-waves view of "carps." Even though the underlying theory is covered in many other books, the combination of metaphor with illustrations and quotes by famous people might appeal to certain clientele more than other "drier" works. Recommended for large business collections serving the general public.
