Continuing Signet's relatively longstanding tradition, this anthology boasts five Regency Christmas stories from some of Signet's more popular writers. The stories vary in tone and style from Sandra Heath's somewhat gothic "The Christmas Ghost" to Mary Balogh's enchanting, child-filled "A Surprise Party." Edith Clayton's "The Rake's Christmas," an uncommon tale about an aging rovewho neatly arranges a matche between an impoverished orphan and a reformed rake, is especially enchanting. Also included are works by Laura Matthews and Jo Beverley. You can't miss with any of the stories here.
