Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly
Fletcher attends a writers' convention in London where she becomes a suspect in the stabbing death of a popular author. "The mystery-writer heroine of TV's Murder, She Wrote here actually writes about a murder . . . a Jessica Fletcher puzzler sure to win new fans," PW predicted.

5.0 out of 5 stars An uncozy travel, April 10, 2000
By Matt, 22 (New York) - See all my reviews
Jessica has done it, yet, again. As she travels to England to visit her friend and world's most famous mystery writer, Marjorie Ainsworth, the real mystery begins. As usual, Jessica stumbles upon a body, this time it being her friend, Marjorie. The plot of the story thickens when Jessica puts her own life on the line to find the culprit who murdered Marjorie in her own bedroom. I enjoyed this book so much I couldn't put it down. Every page is a page-turner, and Donald Bain has captured an atmosphere engrossed with suspense and thrills. I'm comparing "Gin and Daggers" to other great Murder She Wrote mysteries such as "Knock 'em Dead" and "Rum and Razors." One word for Bain: Genius.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jessica does it again, for the first time!, June 4, 2000
By Mark Davis (Utica, KS) - See all my reviews
Excellent, couldn't put it down. Keep in mind that this is a re-release of Donald Bain's first Murder, She Wrote mystery and not the next in a series. Some familiar characters are introduced in this book and come back in subsequent books, ie Chief Inspector Sutherland. This is a "must have" book if you have read all the other Murder, She Wrote by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wish it would have said it was a reiusse, November 5, 2000
By "lolo71" (Whittier, CA USA) - See all my reviews
Having read all the Murder She Wrote books, I was quite confused with this one as I was reading it. I felt that I had read it before, but was confused because it stated she had just met Inspector Sutherland. I knew that she had met him before thru previous novels. Also, the title was one that had been used in previuos series. Now I found out that it is a reissue. The book should have stated this. The credit page did state that April 2000 was the first Signet printing but should have stated it was a reissue. This is what has bothered me. Still, love the entire series, each book is just as good as the one before. Own them all. Can't wait until the next ones come out.
