Product Description
After Gaye Foster fled a nightmare marriage to an abusive husband, the quiet town of West Greenlea, New Hampshire, offered the perfect respite. There, with a job as a partner in a rural veterinary clinic and a small, but comfortable, apartment, she would finally be able to start life anew. But even here, surrounded by a picture-book image of safety and serenity, Gaye can't escape the awful memories of her past. All she can depend on is courage and time and one perfect distraction...

When Gaye meets gentle and handsome Toby Callan, her life begins to change. A blind local musician, he comes to her, seeking treatment for his ailing seeing-eye dog. Together, as they face the challenges and tragedies that surge around them, he opens her eyes to a passion she never knew existed. And soon they discover a new kind of future that looks as bright and clear as day...

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book nobody knows about, October 10, 2004
Basic plot: Woman (vet) fleeing an abusive husband, joins a rural veterinary clinic. She meets a blind man, his dog, and a community that saves her (in more ways than one.) This book has gone virtually unnoticed, but it is great! Take time to pick it up, read it and recommend it to your friends. You will laugh, cry, and walk away from the book touched and changed for the better. Not many books make me feel this way, so give it a try and if you don't like it, it is not the author's fault.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real eye-opener, June 24, 2004
By A Customer
In this wonderful book by Robert Rosenblum, There is something for everybody, and a valuable life-lesson to learn. Gaye Foster, a veterinarian leaves an unhealthy relationship to find happiness elsewhere, and what ensues is an excellent story of adventure, fear, anger, peace, and love. What we see may not be as important as what we can imagine, so curl up with your dog, and this book, and enjoy an eye-opening and enlightening story.
