2.0 out of 5 stars very disappointing, May 30, 2000
By Timbus "timbus_emankcin" (Bloomington, IN USA) - See all my reviews
The book is actually about how to program in VB for beginners, and the contents about the actual web development aspects are next to none. Examples do not work; online support is poor for that the author changed the online examples without changing the downloadable codes. Not worth buying at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of Paper, October 19, 1999
By Dan (dan@hotmail.com) (Northern California) - See all my reviews
One must wonder the worth of a book when a large numbers of pages are devoted to useless example code that is quadruple spaced. The goal seems to be to make a book as thick as possible so a buyer feels that he gets a "comprehensive" "Well Detailed" and a high #pages/price ratio. Instead, I would more value the thinner, more concise book (e.g. "... in a nutshell" O'reilly series books)

1.0 out of 5 stars No coverage of Server side scripting, June 26, 1999
By Robert Storrs "ASP.NET Developer" (Golden, CO United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Since the primary use of VB Script is on the server side and the only reason I bought the book, I was completely disappointed to find no coverage of creating ASP pages or any other reference to server side activity. It also has no information on accessing databases - again because of the bias toward browser development. Save your money

4.0 out of 5 stars Great reference for developers
I love this book for what it is: a great reference. Both the developer I mentor and myself love this book. It breaks down the IE DOM into easy to read entries. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Not useful at all
This book is more for reference to VBScript rather than learning VB script. I found the language extreemly difficult to read. It only deals with versions of IE less than 4.5. Read more
