I have read the hardcover edition 1990 (borrowed from the library) and because I have done Chinese Brush, I found this to be a beautifully illustrated and well contained information book about Chinese Brush Painting. Ting's paintings are well designed and include demonstrations from the simple bamboo to fish, flowers, birds, insects, trees, grasses and rocks; even a short reference to chinese calligraphy. In the 128 pages she has managed to tell it all! Even a beginner, with practice, could follow her work.
