4.0 out of 5 stars Would still read if it were not required reading, May 10, 2009

This book was on the list of references at my school. Whilst the language is dated, I could still appreciate the concepts Kepes discussed. The illustrations are quite helpful.

3.0 out of 5 stars nice introduction, December 30, 2008
This is a nice introduction book. It was a required reading for a class, but I have found myself referring back to it on occasion. It's useful for art students of many different levels and mediums.
This is a nice addition to an artists library, especially an art student.
