Editorial Reviews

Product Description

Four splendidly rendered designs in glorious color recapture the charm of illustrator John Tenniel's original images of Wonderland. These temporary tattoos feature the White Rabbit; the Mad Hatter (and one of his teatime companions, the Dormouse); Alice, arm-in-arm with the Duchess; and the Cheshire Cat in full grin.

2.0 out of 5 stars Tatoo Review, September 14, 2004
The tatoos are beautiful. Very detailed and very cute. I wanted them for a children's birthday party so I ordered a pack. It would have been nice to know the quantity ahead of time. Assumed it would be a pack. But it was only 4 tatoos in a little folder. Cute but scant.

5.0 out of 5 stars A highly original celebration of Carroll's timeless classic, December 18, 2008
By NedMuffin (Cambridge, UK) - See all my reviews
Tattoos used to be the exclusive preserve of hard men and prostitutes. Now getting inked is almost a rite of passage for pretty much everyone reaching their 40th birthday, much to the chagrin of every true sailor, biker and working girl.

I don't have a problem with this increase, my difficulty is with their narrow choice of subject matter - I'll scream if I see another Rose on the shoulder of some fat, middle-aged woman queuing at the supermarket. Why can't people be more original with their choices?

Being a great fan of late Victorian literature, these tattoos provided a perfect alternative to the rather passé Love Heart and Arrow. As they aren't permanent, I was able to co-ordinate them with my other, numerous permanent tats celebrating the books from this great era.

My left leg is proudly inked with figures from Kipling's Jungle Book, my right has the works of Robert Louis Stevenson - Long John Silver scarily entwines my ankle. On my chest, Browning's love poetry meets Thomas Hardy's dark musings and my back blends the harsh social commentary of Gaskell with Dickens.

As both arms are full with the witticisms of Oscar Wilde, my newest purchase presently adores my face. I am delighted with the effect and will be making the Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter permanent facial reminders of Carroll's genius on Monday when my favourite tattoo parlour opens for business.
