From School Library Journal
PreSchool-Grade 3?Three appealing series entries illustrated with full-color stock photographs. The factual texts are clearly presented in bold type, providing simple, accurate information. Yet, there is a difference in readability among the three titles. The Biggest Animal has the most difficult vocabulary. Words such as "endangered," "popular," and "gentlest" will challenge young readers. Spiders is the easiest. It features closeups of the tarantula, bird spider, and the female black widow. What Do You See... introduces concepts such as "water vapor" and describes the various types of clouds. Good additions for general reading and for primary-grade reports.?Suzanne Hawley, Laurel Oak Elementary School, Naples, FL
