Most are for familiar, all-American favoritesbut there are some unusual recipes here too. Nothing special, but this is a handy collection of homey, quickly prepared sweets. Steege's book presents the best cookies from a contest that generated 2600 recipes: traditional chocolate chip cookies, variations on the traditional, healthy cookies, double chocolate chips, special occasion cookies, cookies made with macadamia nuts, apricots, potato chips, pumpkin, coconut, and lots of chocolate.
