4.0 out of 5 stars Realistic look at OO development, May 2, 1999
By A Customer
I was really impressed with this book. The authors understand how to develop real-world software using object technology. It is one of the few books that I have seen about object technology that cover data management issues in a meaningful manner and it is well worth reading by anyone involved with the development of business software involved legacy data. The authors also discuss how to develop large-scale software using object technology as well as small-scale software, presenting tailored software processes for each. The fact that the authors understand the importance of a mature, proven software process and the insights that they are able to provide as a result make this book well worth reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tried & True...So True!, January 25, 2002
By Richard Hiltbrunn (Fountain Green, Utah United States) - See all my reviews
The authors present their Tried & True development techniques and process for getting the OO development job done, in a clear and consise fashion. I've read many OO books on the subject that have given me bits pieces of what I was looking for. This book wraps the whole thing up into one easy to digest volume. They really give a good, practical, presentation on how to do OO Dev. Tried & True Object Development is an excellent book. It's exactly what I've been looking for!
