About the Author
Edward N. Peters received his civil law degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia and his doctoral degree in canon law fro the Catholic University of America. He has held a number of teaching and administrative posts, and presently serves as Director of the Office for Canonical Affairs for the Diocese of San Diego as well as collegiate judge on the diocesan and appellate tribunal. His articles and reviews have appeared in a wide variety of Catholic and secular publications and he is a consultant to many ecclesiastical institutions and persons. He and his wife Angela are raising six children.

As someone going through the annulment process, this book has been my guide, reference and map. It gives the facts in a compassionate, pastoral manner and is never judgemental - that is refreshing and priceless. My only complaint is that after talking to a canon lawyer in my diocese, I discovered that there are numerous ways to "plea" one's case and that wasn't touched on in the book and would have alleviated some headaches. All in all a must read for anyone going through, is a witness in or knows somebody getting an annulment. Way to go Dr. Peters!
