5.0 out of 5 stars Another Von Daniken Trip into the Mysterious, April 5, 2003
By Ann Brown (Tahlequah, OK United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Gold Of The Gods (Hardcover)
In this book, Erich Von Daniken talks a lot about a mysterious cave where ancient carved gold artifacts were found. Pictures of them are found in the book, some of which are very thought-provoking. This book has gold, it has caves, it has ancient mysteries, most of all its by Von Daniken, so you know your mind will be forever challenged.

4.0 out of 5 stars Refreshingly Insane, August 30, 2004
By Amanda (Newfoundland) - See all my reviews
This guy is crazy. I mean, call him what you want, but you must admit crazy ... he is.
Don't get me wrong, I love him. He is my hero. But I'm not sure about some things he says.
He believes what he says with such conviction; you can't help but be swept away with him.
He wrote 'Chariots of the Gods' before this one (Gold of the Gods) and in that he did a calculation about the circumference of the Pyramid ... and in that 'equation' he multiplied a number by 1 ... why would someone do that ... I mean, I'm not a math wiz by any stretch of the imagination, but I think anything multiplied by 1 is itself ... i could be wrong.
But this is not a negative review, I enjoy everything he writes, I just don't necessarily believe everything is writes. He has some very interesting and well-thought out ideas, of which he backs up with good evidence. It's just sometimes to come across sounding like a madman.
And that's what I like. He is anything but boring, and this book in particular is very stimulating.

Happy Reading.

2.0 out of 5 stars new sensational revvelations!, June 15, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Gold Of The Gods (Hardcover)
this book unveils new evidence of an intergalactic "battle of the gods" whose losers retreated to & settled, earth. it explores a vast mysterious underworld of ecuador - caves filled with gold and writings in solid gold that go back in time to the great flood to bolster von daniken's theory of a prehistoric earthly "era of the gods".
